Food Market "Cleofas Mota"

Tequila has public markets where you can not only by local produced food but also consume local delicacies, and interact with the local people at the popular food stalls at the market place. There "food market" and a "fruit market", located across the street from each other.

The municipal market, which today is called by locals "food market", was named after "Cleofas Mota" a revolutionary in the region. This place was founded in 1933 and houses 17 food stalls, where typical meals are served: try locally raised and traditionally prepared  goat and beef dishes, chili con carne, chilaquiles, seafood and tropical juice drinks.
