Inside the village there is an area called "Industrial Corridor"; these were the sites of first companies established to dedicate themselves to the industrial production of Tequila. Along with the "Agave Landscape", currently this whole area is protected by UNESCO as part of the Cultural Heritage designation obtained in 2006.
